Private online Spanish lessons at Vamos Academy are 1-on-1 lessons with a native, experienced teacher, on days and times that suit you, Monday to Friday. Each lesson lasts at least one hour. Packs start at US$100 for 5 hours and fall to US$15 an hour for 50 hours.

Private lessons: questions
What can I study in private online lessons?
You choose the focus: conversation, writing, vocabulary, or topics such as medicine, law, IT, or DELE and CELU exam preparation. Your teacher builds the lessons around your level and goal.
How long is each lesson?
Each lesson lasts at least one hour. You agree days and times with your teacher.
When do private lessons start?
Private 1-on-1 lessons start Monday to Friday, from 48 hours after you book. Our academic director contacts you, and your teacher agrees your days and times with you.
How much do private lessons cost?
US$100 for 5 hours (US$20 an hour), US$180 for 10 (US$18), US$340 for 20 (US$17), US$480 for 30 (US$16) and US$750 for 50 (US$15). Prices are in US dollars and the price you see is the final price.
Which level are private lessons?
Private lessons follow your own level. For private lessons we use the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages; the free level test, or a short chat with our academic director, sets the level your lessons start at. See the level chart (PDF).
What if I cannot attend because of internet problems or a power outage?
For individual classes, we work with you and your teacher to arrange a make-up session at a mutually convenient time.
Can I switch between private and group classes?
Yes. Many students switch between the two. You can also start with a 5-hour pack to see if the style fits before committing to more.
Do I need to take a level test?
No. The free level test is optional. It takes about 6 minutes, in Spanish, and sets the level your private lessons start at; your teacher confirms the rest.
How do I pay for Vamos Academy online classes?
You book and pay at go.vamospanish.live/online/ in US dollars, by credit or debit card or by bank transfer. The price you see is the final price. You can also email yourself a quote and book later, and at checkout you may choose to pay in your own currency.
Pay in full when you book, or secure your place with a 30% deposit when your course starts 10 or more days from today. Courses starting sooner, and packs of 5 or 10 hours, are paid in full.
The remaining 70% is due 5 days before your start date. We e-mail you reminders with a payment link, or we charge the card you saved if you chose automatic payment. If the balance is not paid by then, your booking is cancelled and the deposit is kept. The deposit is non-refundable. If we cannot place you in a class, we return your deposit in full.
